It was pointed out that due to the lack of systemic means to promote digital transformation, the support environment is unable to provide smooth and continuous quality support to economic entities, which do not achieve a breakthrough due to the lack of knowledge of the topic and the lack of staff to take care of the digital development of the company.
The next two days, 18. and 19. May, were dedicated to a study visit to the GIST project, where the partnership, which alongside Štajerski tehnološki park also includes the Karlsruhe Institut für Technologie (Germany), Centro Tecnológico del Mueble Y la Madera (Spain), Globalnet (Poland), Institut za razvoj međunarodnih odnosa (Croatia) and InnovaWood (Belgium), conducted a tour of the laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, the XR Community of the Ljubljana Technology Park, the testing laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor, the internationally accredited study programmes of the Academia Higher Professional School and, finally, the VEGA Supercomputer at IZUM in Maribor.
